We want to raise awareness of litter and celebrate 'plogging' as a great way runners can look after the environment whilst enjoying their favourite workout.

Whether you are an experienced runner, a nervous newbie or a nature lover wanting to help keep our city green, you can help make a difference.

Canal towpaths offer the perfect opportunity to help. Towpaths are narrow and any litter is likely to end up in the canal. It is much easier and cheaper to pick up litter from the path rather than seeing it floating along the canal on your next run.

Although our campaign focuses on Birmingham Canals you can 'plog' anywhere.
